Statue Teachings

Well apparently many people, and I among them, are concerned with the destruction of statues and historical relics — as well as being supportive of the global protests against racism we have seen recently. It is possible to be opposed to more than one thing at a time I have heard.

But in all seriousness, did it bother you when the Taliban destroyed the ‘Buddas of Bamyam’ in Afghanistan? I mean, if you were an Islamic Fundamentalist you would have despised those statues as they were thought to be Idols — false gods — and in their opinion, it was entirely justified to destroy those historical relics…
